- The English Language Competition
Bearing in mind that competitions encourage students to a higher effort in a given subject, every year our English teaching staff organizes a competition that evaluates students’ knowledge of English vocabulary, grammar as well as their familiarity with geographical, historical, cultural and social issues related to English-speaking countries. The winners of the competition at the school level will go on to compete at the interschool level with representatives of other secondary schools from Sanok. Winners will be awarded a certificate and valuable books funded by popular language publishing houses.
- The English Language Spelling Competition
The English Language Spelling Competition has been held in our school since 2007. Its organization coincides with The European Day of Languages that is celebrated in October. In 2008 the idea of a foreign language dictation was taken up by the teachers of German and French. Yearly around forty students of the 1st and the 2nd grade volunteer to have their spelling competence in English tested. Winners in the two categories (1st grade and 2nd grade) are awarded with a certificate and interesting books funded by popular language publishing houses.
- Interschool Literary Competition for Best Poem and Short Story in English
English lovers with interest in poetry and creative writing can try their skills in a literary competition held every spring since 2004. Prior to this popular event, all the details you need to know before you put your pen to paper will be available at our school website and posters hung around the school. The authors of the best poems and short stories are awarded with valuable books such as dictionaries, language teaching books etc. Their works are published at our school website for everyone to enjoy.
- The English Language Olympiad
Every year a few English teachers from our school prepare linguistically gifted students to participate in The English Language Olympiad which is held in November. Its organiser is Wyższa Szkoła Języków Obcych im. Samuela Bogumiła Lindego in Poznań.
There are 3 stages:
Stage I - school eliminations
Stage II – regional eliminations
Stage III – national eliminations
